Since 2019, he is member of the Romanian Academic Society of Management (RASM), Associate professor, PhD and Doctor Honoris Causa at Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, and also Associate Professor at the Academy of Terrestrial Forces „Nicolae Bălcescu”, Sibiu.

Daniel Metz is the former CEO of NTT DATA Romania and currently Chairman of the Board of Directors, starting May 2021. In 2000, he founded EBS Romania, which was acquired by the Japanese company NTT DATA, in 2013. Today, NTT DATA Romania is among Top 7 national IT companies, with more than 2,000 employees.

Since 2018, he is a PhD graduate in Management at Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, where he was awarded the title “Magna Cum Laude”.

Since 2020, he is a Commitee member of „Alma Matter Napocensis” Foundation – an independent, non-governmental and non-profit organisation, with a focus on culture, social sciences, science & technology, founded by Babes-Bolyai University. He is also an external member of the History Institute „George Baritiu”, Academia Romana from Cluj-Napoca.”
